After decades of darkness, Bloom’s blossoms today as a stylish ode to the gentlemen-only bachelor apartments, combining the art deco glamour of 1920s glory with the irreverent revamps of the ’70s & ’80s. The result is a decadent reimagining of glitz and grime, a place where dreams are sublimated and angels and sinners find communion under the overscaled plaster mouldings and perspex carousel lights.
Infinitely inspired by Theatre-in-the-Round, Bloom's is both the stage and the performance, each night a different act. References were culled from such disparate influences as Paris, Texas, Disney's Epcot Center, the purple and red robes of the papacy, and the limpid insides of a ripe plum.
